We offer a large range of classes from beginners and just for fun to advanced performance and examination based classes. We have two
types of examination classes on offer at YETGA Theatre School: one that offers solo work, duet or duologue examinations and the other;
 group examinations. We use two different examination boards both offering recognized national qualification in many areas including
Musical Theatre, Acting, Dancing, Costumes, Public Speaking, and much more.  If you are interested in gaining qualifications to use as part of UCAS points for University then you can ONLY take solo examinations. Examinations as a  group, duet and duologue do not count towards UCAS
points.                                                                                                                  

Examination Classes Information

These classes last from 15 to 40 minutes dependant on grade, these are solo and duologue / duet examination based classes.

Group examination classes can last up to 3 hrs.

ONLY solo examinations can be used towards UCAS points at advanced level

Solo and Duologue one to one Acting.

Train in acting to take graded examinations with a one to one tutor. You will  prepare two or more acting pieces, prepare and research knowledge  of various
aspects of the pieces, periods and  the acting process, all varying dependant on the level of examination. You will train through exercises, direction and
discovery.  Exams can be taken up to three times a year dependent on preparation, experience and age.  If you are successful in your examination, you will
receive a nationally recognised qualification, from one of the top drama schools in London.

Solo and Duologue one to one Speaking with confidence.

Training in speaking with confidence to take graded examinations with a one to one tutor. You prepare presentations that will demonstrated to an examiner along with the knowledge, and the processes required for these type of examination. Exams can be taken once a year dependent on preparation, experience and age
If you are successful in your examination, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification, from one of the top drama schools in London.

Solo and Duologue one to one Musical Theatre.

Train in Musical Theatre to take graded examinations with a one to one tutor. You will learn two or more Musical Theatre pieces (songs from varying musicals), a
 short  acting piece, a dance or movement sequence, and research and gain knowledge about all areas of your examination preparation material. Exams can be taken once a year dependent on preparation, experience and age.   If you are successful in your examination, you will receive a nationally recognised
 qualification, from one of the top drama schools in London.

Solo Verse and Prose.

Train in Verse and Prose. You will be reading, researching and performing various verse and prose to take graded examinations with a one to one tutor. You will  learn two or more verse and prose pieces, and the performance process required for this type of examination, through exercise, direction and preparation
through research. Exams can be taken three times a year dependent on preparation, experience and age.  If you are successful in your examination, you will
receive a nationally recognised qualification, from one of the top drama schools in London.

Solo / group Costume making, design Stage management, lighting, sound and much more.

Train in costume and design, on a Sunday morning 9.30 a.m. until 11.00 a.m, to take graded examinations with a one to one tutor. You will learn costume design, costume making and make-up design. You can take an examination in this process and have practical experience with hands on work, putting your designs, creations and make-up skills into practice in this class. The examinations listed above work in the same fashion but vary in time.  In the examination process you
will be required to learn the  process of your chosen area, and a practical presentation as required for these type of examination. If you are successful in your examination, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification, from one of the top drama schools in London.

Some of the above examination classes can be used as preparation for other examinations at the same time.  Please ask for details about this
when enquiring.  Times vary dependant on exam, grade and age.  We have two set times that we operate in: 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. on a Sunday
 and 4.00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m on a Tuesday
.

Group Examination in  Devised Performance.

This class is for students aged 16+.  Train in improvisation and devised theatre work, to become a more quick witted and confident performer and person. Take graded examinations in a group situation. Lessons last 2 hours on a Saturday Evening (5.00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m) where you will learn improvisation and devising methods, that will also enable you to work towards a performance, with an audience.  You must complete two or more acting devised performances and
perform one or more improvised pieces for the exam as part of your group.  You will learn the performance process required for these type of examination,
 through exercises, direction and preparation. Exams can be taken once a year dependent on preparation, experience and age - including a performance with an audience on our presentation night, an improvisation show.  If you are successful in your examination, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification, from one of the top drama schools in London.

Group Examination in Singing and Dancing.

This class if for students aged 11+. It’s is a great way to keep fit and expand your skills in this ‘Glee’ style musical theatre group class that works towards you learning as part of a group, song and dance routines.  You must learn two or more musical theatre group songs and dance routines to perform in group graded examinations in a lesson that lasts 2 hrs on a Sunday afternoon (2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m). where you will learn musical theatre songs and dance routines, that will  enable you to work towards a performance, with an audience.  If you are successful in your examination, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification,
from one of the top drama schools in London.

Group Examinations For Under 11’s.

This class is for students aged 5 to 11.  Train in script work, songs, dance, movement, mime, improvisation and devised work, to  work towards group graded examinations in a group situation. The lesson lasts 2 hrs on one of our under 11’s groups. You can choose from a different set of locations and times, ranging
from Tuesday (5.00 p.m. - 7.00 p.m). at our main head office in Willenhall, Wednesday at Wednesfield Community Centre (4.00 p.m.- 6.00 p.m). and Friday
(5.30pm - 7.30 p.m) where you will learn improvisation and devising methods, singing and dancing, mime and other skills that will also enable you to work
 towards a performance, with an audience.   If you are successful in your examination, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification, from one of the top drama schools in London.
